Local Employment Support Scheme

The Pragati Project contributed to the development and delivery of a skilling program, which aimed at empowering local women with regard to jute and jute bag manufacturing, in consultation with the Calcutta Foundation. We then approached Ganges Jute Private Limited (https://gangesjute.com/) and secured their official support for the Pragati Collection. On July 14th, the support scheme began operating, with three programs available: Computer Literacy, English Proficiency, and Skill Development. Currently, we have 120 women enrolled in the Computer Literacy program, 20 in English, and 20 women enrolled in Skill Development, along with another 40 waiting to enroll.
